La Fonda, the longtime Tempe Mexican restaurant that moved into new digs three months ago, holds a belated grand-opening party Friday and Saturday.
All-day specials will include $2 Dos Equis drafts, $3 house margaritas, $2 Jose Cuervo shots, and half-priced appetizers. There also will be free giveaways.
La Fonda opened at Scottsdale and Curry roads in north Tempe in 1967, and closed in April when the building was razed.
The family-owned restaurant reopened in July in the former Chuy’s building at McClintock and Baseline in south Tempe.
