Looks like the on-again, off-again status of Vine Expressions is off again. According to a sign posted on the door, the Gilbert wine bar is closed.
It’s not the first closure for Vine Expressions, which is located in the Gilbert Town Square on Gilbert Road, between Warner and Ray.
The then-mostly wine store closed in early 2011. After six months, it was taken over by Arizona winemaker John McLoughlin (Jerome Winery, Bitter Creek), who reopened it in September 2011 with more emphasis on being a wine bar.
The door sign mentions “reopening soon,” but the closure is not mentioned on Vine Expressions’ website or Facebook page. Calls to the wine bar are transferred to an anonymous voicemail box.
