NYPD Pizza introduces ‘Veganizza’ vegan pizza for World Vegan Month

November is World Vegan Month, and NYPD Pizza has debuted the Veganizza, a vegan pizza made with Daiya dairy-free cheese and topped with spinach, garlic, Roma tomatoes and fresh basil.

Daiya cheese also is now available for all pizzas on NYPD’s menu at no additional cost.

NYPD Pizza also is rolling out a gluten-free menu at eight of its 10 Valley locations by the end of this year. The remaining two locations – Camelback and Sky Harbor – will get it at a later date.

According to the Vegetarian Resource Group, about 9 million U.S. adults are vegetarians, 2 million of which are vegans.  The highest percentages are found in Western states.
