Nando’s Mexican Cafe opens 3rd East Valley location in Chandler

Nando’s Mexican Cafe has opened in the short-lived Rancho de Tia Rosa building on the northeast corner of Dobson and Germann in Chandler.

It’s the third East Valley location for Nando’s, which debuted in Gilbert and then added an east Mesa location.

Nando’s menu ranges from chuletas con chile rojo (grilled pork chops in a spicy red sauce) to faja pasta with jalapeno cheese toast to chipotle BBQ ribs. Ten combo platters range from $10.95-$12.95. Fifteen lunch specials are $8.95.

Mesa-based Rancho de Tia Rosa originally opened the building in April 2011 during an aggressive expansion phase that also included another restaurant and a taqueria in Gilbert.

The Chandler location, however, barely got off the ground, closing in September 2011. The Mesa and Gilbert locations remain open.
