Chef Off, an ongoing series of friendly culinary competitions in the East Valley, continues Monday with the fifth edition: Masters vs. Apprentices.
Chefs Romeo Taus of Romeo’s Euro Cafe, John Wong of sN Asian Kitchen, and Jared Lupin of DownUnder – each of whom has one win and one loss in the competition – are combining forces to form a team.
Their opponents? Kathryn Ryan of sN Asian Kitchen and Rob Dyson of Crudo.
“Any time you get three chefs that their heads require their own ZIP codes you get a show,” Taus says.
The two teams will square off at 6:30 p.m. at sN Asian Kitchen. Each team will prepare three dishes. You can get all six dishes, plus three wine pairings, for $50, not including tax and tip. Diners will select the winners.
