Tempe nightclub Graham Central Station closes after 10 years

Graham Central Station Tempe AZ

Graham Central Station, the south Tempe nightclub operated by Texas-based Graham Brothers Entertainment, has closed after 10 years.

The venue, located at Priest and Elliot, originally opened as Rockin’ Rodeo in 1994. At the time, it was billed as the biggest country-western bar in Arizona.

In 2002, Graham Brothers shut down its long-running Graham Central Station club in west Phoenix and reopened it at the Tempe location.

Graham Brothers, which blamed the poor economy for the closure, also owns Denim & Diamonds and Cactus Moon Sports Grill in Mesa. It closed Cactus Moon’s Tucson location a couple months ago.

About 300 Graham Central Station fans have started a memorial Facebook group for the venue.
