Thursday Dish: ‘Big boy’ beers at Hungry Monk, Cismontane debut at Whole Foods, Ugly Sweater Party

• It’s Craft Beer Thursday!

• The Hungry Monk in Chandler will be tapping “big boy” beers today, starting with a firkin of Firestone Walker Pale 31 at 3 p.m., followed by North Coast Grand Cru (12.9% ABV, pictured) at 4, 2011 and 2012 versions of Ballast Point Victory at Sea (10.0%) at 5, and Firestone Walker 16th anniversary ale (12%) at 6. • Welcome Cismontane Brewing to Arizona at 6 tonight at Whole Foods Chandler. The Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., brewery will have five beers on tap: Dead Santa American brown ale, Black’s Dawn imperial stout, Deciduous IPA, Session Saison, The Citizen lager, and Buckwheat Oktoberfest. Sample all of them for just $5.

• Boulders on Broadway hosts an Extreme Black & Tan Night tonight, and is taking reservations for a SoCal Beer Dinner Monday.

• Bust out that Christmas sweater in the bottom of the drawer: Tonight is the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at Papago Brewing in Scottsdale. SanTan Brewing‘s Railslide, Winter Warmer, Night of the Living Red, and Coffee Stout will be featured.

• Starting at 4 p.m. today, OHSO
in Phoenix will have 25 Christmas or winter seasonal beers on tap.

• Meet Jeremy Warren, brewmaster at California’s Knee Deep Brewing, at 6 tonight at Angels Trumpet Ale House in Phoenix. His IPA, double IPA, and triple IPA will be on tap.

• As of this morning, there still are eight spots available in Saturday’s Beer & Donuts pairing at Il Vinaio in Mesa.

• Superstition Farm is offering 20% off dairy products during the Super Farm Market tonight.
