Popular Arcadia breakfast eatery Over Easy quietly has done a soft opening of its first East Valley location. The new restaurant takes over the former NYPD Pizza space, next to Zipps Sports Grill, on Warner Road east of Gilbert Road.
Over Easy’s Waffle Dogs – breakfast sausages on sticks, dipped in waffle batter and fried to a golden brown (3 for $8.50) – have been featured on cable TV’s Food Network.
The rest of the menu features omelets ($9), pancakes and French toast ($6-$8), breakfast sandwiches ($7), and entrees like chicken fried steak ($9.25), chilaquiles ($8.50), cheddar-jalapeno biscuits & gravy ($8), and Hopple Popple (chunks of salami, onions, bell peppers & potatoes scrambled together with three eggs, $9.50).
Over Easy is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
A second East Valley location in east Mesa is scheduled to open in January.
