Whole Foods Chandler to tap 10+ rare ales for tonight’s ‘beer class,’ get a pint of any of them for $5

Rare beers will be the subject of tonight’s Friday Beer Class at Whole Food Chandler.

Beers on tap (partial list):

• Oskar Blues Smidy #3, a raspberry-infused porter (5.8% ABV)
• Oskar Blues-Ska collaboration oSKAr the G’Rauch, a smoked IPA (8.5%)
• Left Hand Java Lava, the brewery’s 2012 GABF pro-am entry (5.4%)
• Left Hand Ambidextrous #2, a limited-release imperial milk stout (10.5%)
• Schmaltz Jewbelation 16, brewed with 16 malts, 16 hops and approaching 16% ABV
• Sierra Floral IPA, one of this year’s Beer Camp releases (5.7%)
• Widmer SXNW, brewed with pecans, cocoa, and green chilies (9.3%)
• North Coast Grand Cru, a barrel-aged limited release (12.9%)
• Odell The Meddler, a barrel-aged Oud Bruin ale (8.9%)
• Oak Creek Cherry Chocolate Porter (7%)

All beers will be $5. The informal event, open to anyone 21 or over, starts at 7 p.m.
