California-based Italian restaurant La Cucina di Venti closes its doors in north Mesa

La Cucina di Venti, an Italian restaurant that opened less than a year ago in north Mesa, has closed.

It’s the third straight Italian eatery to fail in the stand-alone building on Brown Road between Center Street and Mesa Drive, following in the footsteps of RigaTony’s and
Mardenely’s.

The California-based concept, which billed itself as a “trattoria, pizzeria and enoteca,” offered Naples-style pizzas, pasta dishes and traditional Italian entrees.

La Cucina di Venti still has two locations – one near Los Angeles and another near San Francisco.
