Now open: Salads and Go

It’s a good day for time-crunched Gilbert diners looking for an alternative to fast-food. Salad and Go, a drive-through salad eatery, opened today on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Guadalupe.

Salad and Go offers a menu of 10 gourmet salads created by Bourbon Steak executive chef Daniel Patino with local, natural and organic ingredients. A variety of dressings are made in-house.

Salads (which also can be ordered as wraps) are a hefty 48 ounces and cost $5.50. You can add chicken, steak, shrimp or Gardein for $2.

Besides the drive-through, there also is a takeout window. There is no dining room; the only seating is a couple tables on the patio.

Salad and Go is open 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
