Bill and Lillian Buitenhuys from the new Chandler-based AZ Bitters Lab will be sharing samples of two of their small-batch, hand-crafted bitters – Mas Mole and Figgy Pudding – from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Wedge & Bottle in Ahwatukee.
Bitters, if you don’t know, are alcoholic beverages intensely flavored with herbal essences. Very small amounts (“dashes”) are commonly used in cocktails, but also in baked goods and other food recipes.
