Zipps Sports Grill opens 9th Valley location in south Chandler

To Ocotillo area residents, it seems to have taken forever. But Zipps Sports Grill finally has opened on the southwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo in Chandler.

The building previously housed Michael’s Pasta and Steakhouse and, before that, Johnny Carino’s Italian Restaurant. Zipps took over last May and had hoped to open by October.

The Ocotillo location is the neighborhood sports bar’s ninth in the Valley and second in Chandler. Two more will open by summer –  in Ahwatukee (Warner and 48th Street) and downtown Tempe (Centerpoint).
