Woody, Deschutes’ beer barrel-shaped traveling pub, will be at Flanny’s Thursday when the Oregon brewery is spotlighted in the Tempe craft beer bar’s monthly tap takeover.
The tap list will include the 2011 and 2012 versions of Abyss, Deschutes’ American imperial stout, and 24th Anniversary Black Butte, its imperial porter. Abyss scores a perfect 100 on RateBeer.com, while Black Butte XXIV is a 99.
66 Chutes, a stout collaboration between Deschutes and Flagstaff’s Mother Road Brewing, also will be available.
Rounding out the tap list: regular Black Butte, Armory XPA, Red Chair and Red Chair Nitro, Green Lakes Organic, Obsidian Nitro Stout, Chainbreaker White IPA, Inversion IPA, Jubelale 2012, River Ale, and, of course, its flagship Mirror Pond.
From 6:30-8 p.m., Woody will be giving away tickets to this weekend’s McDowell Mountain Music Festival, which is sponsored by Deschutes.
