By Jess Harter Thursday, March 21, 2013

Mardi Gras may have been last month, but the flavors of Louisiana have just arrived in the East Valley.

Bourbon Street Bar & BBQ has opened in the former Tom’s BBQ space on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights in south Chandler.

The menu is a mix of barbecue and Cajun dishes.

The former include Big Easy BBQ Ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, and smoked sausages. Sandwiches (with a side) start at $8, while plates start at $11.

The latter include gumbo ($6), jambalaya ($7), red beans and rice ($8), shrimp étouffée ($10), blackened catfish ($10), and fried oysters ($11).

There also are six burgers and four salads.

Bourbon Street is open for lunch and dinner daily.
