Native New Yorker defends its 2012 title when Wingstock, a chicken wing and music festival, takes place Saturday at Mesa Amphitheatre.
Vying to take over as “King of Wings” are East Valley restaurants such as Hungry Monk, ATL Wings, Cogburn’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and The Reef.
The event, which runs 11 a.m.-5 p.m., also includes a wing-eating contest and kids activities. Live music will be provided by Johnny Anonymous, Rust – Classic Rock and Roll, and D.L. Marble.
Downtown Mesa’s Desert Eagle Brewing will be selling its beers.
Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at gate. Wing coupons (good for one wing) are $3 for four, or $10 for 14.
