After months of construction, Monti’s La Casa Vieja in downtown Tempe officially launches its new wrap-around sidewalk patio today. The 2,000-square-foot space has three fireplaces and a bar and can seat 130 people.
You’ll be able to get lunch on the patio starting at 11 a.m. daily. In addition, executive chef Jimmy Hernandez has created a special tapas-style dinner menu. There’s also a special bar-bites menu of items under $5.
The patio, which is meant to be an entirely separate venue from the steakhouse, has been dubbed “Tempe’s Front Porch,” the winning suggestion in a public contest held by Monti’s.
