Flanny’s welcomes Oskar Blues for its monthly tap takeover Thursday

Oskar BluesNearly 300 American craft breweries sell their beers in cans. Back in 2002, though, there was just one: Oskar Blues.

So it’s a little ironic the brewery that launched the craft canning movement in this country will be the subject of Flanny’s monthly tap takeover at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whether in cans or on tap, though, there’s no denying the Lyons, Colo., brewery produces some very good beers, including its flagship Dale’s Pale Ale, Deviant Dale’s IPA, G’Knight imperial red, and Ten Fidy imperial stout.

The evening will feature some barrel-aged versions of its core brands – like Mama’s Little Yella Pils aged in both red and chardonnay wine barrels – as well as several on nitro.

Rarer offerings will include The Deuce brown ale, Homeskillet black IPA, Santo Poco pale lager, and IceyPA wheat IPA. See the full list of 24 beers on tap here.
