Chef Off, a series of friendly culinary battles between East Valley chefs, presents its first rematch Monday when John Wong of Asia takes on Romeo Taus of Romeo’s Euro Cafe at the latter’s Gilbert restaurant.
The chefs competed in the second Chef Off last August in a contest tongue-in-cheek dubbed “Crouching Tiger vs. Transylvanian Garlic Keeper.” Taus emerged victorious.
Monday, each chef will prepare three new dishes. Diners will get all six courses, plus dessert and three wine pairings, for $50 plus tax and tip. Diners then will choose the winner.
The dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call 480-962-4224.
