Ahi Revolving Sushi, a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, has opened at Gilbert Town Square, on Gilbert Road south of Warner, in the building that previously housed Damon’s Grill and later Fahrenheit’s.
Think Japan’s version of fast food. Diners can grab whatever ready-to-eat menu items on small plates that move along the counter. Each dish has a colored price sticker. After you’re finished eating, the stickers are added up to determine your check.
Ahi, which is open for lunch and dinner daily, is one of three conveyor-belt spots in the East Valley, along with Seksun Sushi Goround in Chandler and TeHaru Sushi in Tempe.
Another conveyor-belt eatery, Sushi Eye in Motion in downtown Chandler, closed last July.
