Why wait until Sunday to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? Baja Joe’s Mexican Cantina is kicking off its two-day holiday party Saturday.
The fun will start with a special happy hour (usually limited to weekdays) from 3-7 p.m. in the bar. After 7, there’ll be additional drink specials, including $3 for all 16-ounce drafts, $10 buckets of Tecate and Tecate Light, $5 for 16-ounce house margaritas, and $3 Cuervo shots.
Random prize giveaways will include T-shirts, novelty items, and “the kitchen sink.†A DJ will be playing music from 7 until close.
On Sunday, the northeast Mesa restaurant and bar will offer the same drink specials again in the bar all day.
And another party is on the horizon: A 2,600-square-foot addition to the Baja Joe’s bar area – which will feature big-screen TVs, pool tables, dart boards, a dance floor, and a stage for live music – is expected to open in mid-May.
