Get your big hats out of the closet, Kentucky Derby fans. Bourbon Jacks Bar & Grill in downtown Chandler is hosting its first Kentucky Derby party starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
One of the highlights of the day – other than the famed horse race itself – will be Bourbon Jacks’ “Kenturkey Derby Sandwich,” its version of the Derby’s traditional Hot Brown Sandwich.
The open-face sandwich (pictured), which debuts today and is available through Saturday, features roasted turkey, charred tomatoes, bacon, and melted cheddar cheese sauce on grilled rye bread.
And, of course, specialty drinks will include Woodford Reserve mint juleps, Chambord vodka lemonades, Bloody Marys, and mimosas.
