Today is the start of American Craft Beer Week – not to be confused with Arizona Beer Week, which is in February – and there are a bunch of beer-related events planned around the East Valley.
ACBW was launched by the non-profit Brewers Association and  includes nearly 1,500 events in all 50 states.
ACBW East Valley events
- Today: $8.50 flights of Odell beers from 5-7 p.m. at The Hungry Monk in Chandler.
- Tuesday: Stone Brewing tap takeover at World of Beer in Tempe.
- Tuesday: Hops ‘N’ Heat wing-eating contest at Yucca Tap Room in Tempe.
- Tuesday: Latin beer pairing dinner at Sleepy Dog Pub in Gilbert.
- Tuesday:Â Odell beer dinner at Spokes on Southern in Tempe.
- Wednesday: Can-tastic night bike ride starting at Boulders on Broadway in Tempe.
- Wednesday: FiftyFifty Eclipse beer school at World of Beer in Tempe.
- Thursday: New Belgium tap takeover at Flanny’s in Tempe.
- Thursday: Dogfish Head tap takeover at World of Beer in Tempe.
- Thursday: Odell tap takeover at Sleepy Dog Pub in Gilbert.
- Friday: Show Us Your Cans happy hour pub crawl starting at Bison Witches in Tempe.
- Saturday: Ameri-Can Canned Craft Beer Festival at Scottsdale Civic Center.
