Sausage Sophia (pictured) will be one of five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Spanaki Balls: Balls of spinach, rice, mozzarella, and provolone. Battered and deep fried. Served with chilled tomato sauce
- Hellenic Salad: Gyros, feta cheese and yogurt over crisp salad greens.
- Mediterranean Paprikash: Seafood-filled ravioli with hearts of palm, scallions, mushrooms, cashew, and red bell pepper in paprika cream sauce.
- Sausage Sophia: Italian sausage with bell peppers, garlic, capers, mushrooms, pine nuts, zucchini and scallions in olive oil and herbs.
- Euro Delight: Moist black cake soaked with Kahlua and filled with a tangy chocolate Kahlua crème fraiche mousse covered in chocolate whipped cream.
Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $8. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
