Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, a Utah-based chain known for European-style crusty breads and pastries, makes its Valley debut with a grand opening Monday on the southwest corner of Baseline and Higley in Gilbert.
Its signature breakfast menu item is all-you-can-eat Chunky Cinnamon French Toast served with strawberries, cream, and caramel syrup for $4.99, available from 7 to 11 a.m. daily.
The first 100 customers Monday will get a free order of the French toast. The restaurant is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Kneaders also offers all-you-can-eat deals on its Cinnamon Spice Pecan Pancakes and its Homemade Pancakes (also $4.99).It also serves breakfast sandwiches on croissant or ciabatta.
The lunch and dinner menus feature sandwiches, soups, and salads. In addition, Kneaders sells more than 40 kinds of artisan bread and pastries to-go, including gift baskets. Each restaurant has its own bakers and pastry chefs.
Kneaders now has 23 locations, including 19 in Utah, one in Idaho, and two in Yuma. The chain plans to open a second Gilbert restaurant near Costco at San Tan Village.
