Chompie’s is inviting diners of all ages to order from its new children’s menu today as part of “Eat Like a Kid,†a fundraiser for Playworks Arizona, a nonprofit that seeks to transform schools and end bullying by providing physical activity at recess and throughout the school day.
The kids menu, normally limited to those 10 and under, features 19 selections, including the New York-style deli’s signature Jewish Sliders (featured on Man v. Food), Long Island french toast, and Checkered Cab cheeseburger. Prices start at $3.79. See the whole menu here.
People also can order off the main menu today, but Chompie’s will make a donation to Playworks Arizona for every kids meal ordered. Chompie’s locations in the Valley include ones next to ASU in Tempe and Chandler Fashion Center.

Pittsburgh Willy’s pulled pork sandwiches
Pulled pork sandwiches are back on the menu at Pittsburgh Willy’s. Last week, the Chandler hot dog shop teamed up with barbecue expert Freddie G to smoke 60 pounds of pork at The Hungry Monk. Sandwiches are $7.25, or $8.50 for a combo meal with chips and a drink.
World of Beer Gilbert on Facebook
One of the most frequent questions I get is, “Any update on World of Beer‘s planned Gilbert location?” Well, you now can follow its progress on its just-launched Facebook page. The chain, whose bars offers more than 500 craft beers, is shooting for a late-summer opening at SanTan Village.
Agritopia Farmers Market starts today
The Agritopia Farmers Market starts today in Gilbert. From 4-8 p.m., the market will include multiple vendors, food trucks, naturally grown fruits and vegetables, and locally made artisan food products. The market will be next to Joe’s Farm Grill and The Coffee Shop near Higley and Ray.

Craft beer geek alert! On June 20, Papago Brewing will have 10 beers from California’s The Bruery on tap: Mischief, Tradewinds Tripel, Rugbrod, Tart of Darkness, Loakal Red, Sour in the Rye, Saison de Lente, White Oak, Hottenroth Berliner Weisse and 5 Golden Rings.
