Greek Skins (pictured) will be the first of five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Greek Skins: Gyros meat and artichokes with feta and kasseri cheese.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, and capers tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing on romaine lettuce with homemade croutons and anchovies.
- Andalusian Baked Eggplant: Fennel sausage, roasted red peppers, pine nuts, spinach, red onions, scallions, and fresh garlic. Sauteed in olive oil, baked over eggplant with feta cheese.
- Kasseri Chicken: Pepperoncinis, kalamatas, roasted garlic, kasseri cheese, and black peppercorns layered with roasted red peppers in marsala cream sauce.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, and walnuts.
