Baked Bleu Tomatoes and Veal Pirata (pictured) will be two of the five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Baked Bleu Tomatoes: Layers of fresh tomatoes and crumbled bleu cheese, baked and served with an Italian roll
- Mediterranean Salad: Hearts of artichoke and palm with roasted red pepper, tomatoes, cucumber, scallion and avocado, romaine lettuce, lemon vinaigrette and almonds.
- Greco-Roman Chicken: Grilled breast of chicken with zucchini, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, pepperoncinis, tomatoes, and black olives in lemon-olive oil with tomato foccacia.
- Veal Pirata: Walnut-and-almond-encrusted veal shoulder scaloppini with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, red peppers, asparagus, capers, and roasted garlic in marsala cream over linguini
- Intoxicated Love: Dark chocolate, Grand Marnier, milk chocolate, and Kahlua, white and milk chocolate layers kissed by Jack Daniels
