Could there be a better day for the Beat the Heat beer festival. While temperatures are expected to reach 118 degrees Saturday, beer drinkers will be able to sample from more than 50 craft beers in the air-conditioned comfort of Whole Foods Chandler‘s Watering Hole bar.
The beers will represent nine breweries: Black Diamond, Lightning, Cismontane, Rough Draft, Backcountry, Iron Fist, Reutberger, Hopf, and Schönramer.
Some of the day’s more unusual beers will include Black Diamond’s Tripel Plum, a barrel-aged Belgian triple flavored with plums; Cismontane’s The Mesa, a blend of pilsner and Reisling wine; and Iron Fist’s The Gauntlet, a hit-you-over-the-head double IPA.
The festival will run from 3-7 p.m. Attendees will get 15 samples for $15.
