Lucky Break will be raising money all this month – National Hot Dog Month – for the local Lucky Dog Rescue, an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership.
Throughout July, the Tempe restaurant and bar will be donating proceeds from the sale of Leinenkugel Summer Shandy beer and hot dogs. The Lucky Break staff also will be accepting donations of pet items along with cash donations, 100 percent of which will go directly to Lucky Dog Rescue.
Lucky Break’s menu offers four different hot dogs – a quarter-pound dog, a bacon-wrapped and deep-fried dog, a beer brat, and a Sonoran dog (pictured) – for $4.95-$6.95, which include a side of tater tots.
On Saturday, July 27, Lucky Dog Rescue will bring some adoptable dogs to restaurant, where there also will be a silent auction of prizes and fun family activities.
