This week’s ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu: Eggplant cappicola & tiramisu

Eggplant Cappicola and Tiramisu (pictured) will be the bookends of the five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe” dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.

“Taste of Romeo’s” menu

  • Eggplant Cappicola: Provolone and ham cappicola wrapped in fresh eggplant and deep-fried. Served with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • Grilled Salmon Salad: Grilled salmon with roasted red peppers, capers, mushrooms, artichoke hearts tossed in a lemon vinaigrette over romaine lettuce.
  • Sherry Cranberry Pork: Pork tenderloin, cranberries, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted red pepper, green onions and rosemary over pasta.
  • Tortellini Gianni: Italian sausage, cheese-filled tortellini, scallions, fresh garlic, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala cream sauce.
  • Tiramisu: European lady fingers soaked in espresso and layered with fresh mascarpone cheese.

Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $8. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
