The 19 fallen Granite Mountain firefighters will be honored with a commemorative beer – an American brown ale dubbed Heroes 19 – from Arizona’s craft breweries.

The beer will feature 19 different hops and be brewed at Prescott Brewing, where one of the firefighters worked for six years.

The hops are being donated by breweries in the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild, which also will help brew the beer. All revenue from the sale of Heroes 19 will go to the firefighters’ families.

“To have these 19 souls taken from us in such a tragic way, so quick, we all want to do something,” Prescott Brewing’s John Nielsen told KTAR radio.

The beer will be brewed next week, so look for it near the end of the month.
