Chef Off! series returns July 22 with four-chef throwdown at Sleepy Dog Pub

Chef Off!, a series of friendly culinary competitions between East Valley chefs, will return Monday, July 22, with something new – a team battle.

John Wong of sN Asian Kitchen and Romeo Taus of Romeo’s Euro Cafe (both pictured) will combine forces to take on Jared Lupin from soon-to-open Umami and Wesley Wilhelm from Sleepy Dog Pub & Bistro.

Each team will prepare three dishes of “pub fare.” Diners will get all six dishes, plus dessert and three wine pairings, then vote on the winning team.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at Sleepy Dog. Cost is $50 per person, plus tax and tip. For reservations, call 480- 963-1805.
