This week’s ‘Taste of Romeo’s’ menu: Balsamic Steak Salad, Sausage Sophia

Balsamic Steak Salad and Sausage Sophia (pictured) will be two of the five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe” dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.

“Taste of Romeo’s” menu

  • Mezzogiorno: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, and fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto-Dijon vinaigrette
  • Balsamic Steak Salad: Grilled steak tossed in extra virgin olive oil, balsamic, vinegar with roasted red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, red cabbage, artichoke hearts, and sunflower seeds with romaine lettuce
  • Sausage Sophia: Italian sausage with bell peppers, garlic, capers, mushrooms, pine nuts, zucchini, and scallions in olive oil and herbs
  • Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sautéed with roasted garlic, pine nuts, and olive oil in basil pesto cream
  • Fantasy Cake: Layers of cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and Devil’s Food cake, finished with dark chocolate and ground
  • pistachios

Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $8. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
