Blue Collar Beer Festival to feature ‘classic beers’ Saturday in Mesa

If you don’t like craft beer, this might be the beer fest for you: The Blue Collar Beer Festival will take place Saturday at the Arizona Event Center in Mesa.

Featured will be what organizers call “classic beers,” including Budweiser, Coors, Miller, PBR, Hamm’s, Old Style, Busch, and Old Milwaukee. There also will be offerings from two Valley craft breweries – Desert Eagle in Mesa and Old World in west Phoenix.

For $20, you will get 20 6-ounce beer samples. The event also will include live music, a bikini contest, a food vendor (ATL Wings), and an open bar with shot specials.

The fest is scheduled to run 1-6 p.m., but organizers promise to extend those hours “if it looks like attendees want to keep it rolling.”
