It’s Craft Beer Thursday! Here are today’s events around the East Valley

It’s Thursday, which means craft beer promos, although this week’s schedule is a little light…

• From 6:30-8:30 p.m., Flanny’s in Tempe hosts the big event of the night (maybe of the month): An Epic tap takeover. Salt Lake City brewery – Utah’s first since Prohibition – will have at least 26 beers on tap, including highly rated Smoked & Oaked Belgian Strong Ale, Copper Cone pale ale, and Big Bad Baptist imperial stout. • From 6:30-8:30, College Street from Lake Havasu City will be handing out free samples of its Jesse’s Malt Liquor, Sweet Devil Stout, and American Wheat Beer at City Wine & Spirits in Mesa. Spring Fling white IPA will be on the growler-filling station.

• From 8-10, the Handlebar in Tempe welcomes “Beers of Christmas Past,” including Brouwerij Huyghe Delirium Noël, Bell’s Christmas Ale, San Tan Winter Warmer, AleSmith Speedway Stout, and Leinenkugel Big Eddy Russian imperial stout.
