Liberty Market in Gilbert is celebrating the 28th birthday of its Faema E61 espresso machine by giving away free espresso, macchiato, and cappuccino today.
Faema, an Italian company, introduced the E61 model in 1961, and its numerous engineering innovations immediately revolutionized the industry.
Liberty Market’s Faema was built in Milan, Italy, on July 22, 1965. After several decades of use in Milan, it was refurbished in 2008 to become the centerpiece of Liberty Market’s E61 espresso bar.
Today’s free drinks – dine-in only (no paper cups) – will be given out until 9 p.m.
