Lucky Break continues its monthlong fundraiser for Lucky Dog Rescue on Saturday with a “Family Day” party featuring face painters, balloon animals, silent auction, and, of course, a selection of adoptable dogs looking for loving families.

All month, the Tempe neighborhood bar and grill has been donating proceeds from Leinenkugel Summer Shandy beer sales and hot dog purchases to the all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization. It also has been collecting donations of cash and new and gently used pet items from customers.

Lucky Break hot dogs:

  • Big Dog, a quarter-pound grilled dog with your choice of toppings.
  • Beer Brat, steamed in craft beer and topped with caramelized onions.
  • Bacon Ripper, wrapped in bacon and deep-fried.
  • Sonoran Dog, wrapped in bacon with black beans, jalapenos, onions, pico de gallo, and lime crema.

Saturday’s event will run 5-8 p.m. Silent auction prizes will includes meals at Valley restaurants, ballon rides, doggie dude ranch stays, NASCAR tickets, Out of Africa passes, limo rides, dog gear, and gift baskets for people and pooches.
