Eight’s “Check, Please! Arizona” Festival will return to downtown Phoenix’s CityScape in 2014, but will take place a month earlier in hopes of avoiding the Valley’s early-summer heat.
The food festival, featuring restaurants profiled on the PBS show “Check, Please! Arizona,” debuted on April 28, when temperatures during the outdoor event hit 100 degrees. Next year, the fest will be moved up to March 30, when the average high temperature is 81.
Like the inaugural event, next year’s fest will include food samples, panel discussions, seminars, and cooking demos. Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but tickets will go on sale in November.
New TV episodes of “Check, Please! Arizona” return in January.
