Nosh Arizona kicks off Round 3 of its ongoing “Bar Fight” series today, pitting Bell’s Two Hearted Ale against Deschutes Inversion IPA (since today is National IPA Day, of course).
Here’s how “Bar Fight” works: After choosing two craft beers, Nosh creates a special food pairing for each. For $13.95, diners get both dishes on the same plate, plus a half-pint of each beer, and rate each pairing. At the end of the month, the scores are compiled and a winner declared.
August’s pairings are rosemary-brushed balsamic chicken satay skewers (with Two Hearted) and BBQ baby back beer-glazed ribs with apple-jicama slaw (with Inversion).
In previous rounds, SanTan Mr. Pineapple bested Odell IPA, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale narrowly edged OHSO Black IPA.
