Acclaimed TV drama “Breaking Bad” returns Sunday night to begin airing its final eight episodes, and Marble Brewery is giving the AMC hit a proper sendoff.
The brewery from Albuquerque – where “Breaking Bad” is filmed – has created two special beers honoring the show’s central character, Walter White (played by the three-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston).
Heisenberg’s Dark is an India black ale with a citrus punch courtesy of Australian Galaxy hops and an ABV of 6.5%. Walt’s White Lie is an India white ale with a smooth and earthy malt base with an ABV of 7.5%.
Marble has some history with “Breaking Bad.” Its beers have appeared on the show, as has brewmaster Ted Rice’s house. And the cast and crew have stopped by the brewery’s taproom to drink.
Marble is shipping just 60 kegs of the “Breaking Bad” beers to bars in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.
Flanny’s in Tempe has announced it will tap its two kegs Sunday so customers can enjoy a pint during the show or get a growler to take home and watch.
