Tonight is James Swann’s swan song – his last Friday Beer Class at Whole Foods Chandler. The big question is whether the popular weekly tastings, which he launched a couple years ago, will continue at The Watering Hole, the grocery store’s in-house bar, without him.
Especially when you consider it’s likely some version of Beer Class will take place at Swann’s new Chandler craft beer bar, The Perch, scheduled to open in October.
Tonight’s class will be a tap takeover with Colorado brewery Odell. Beers will include 5 Barrel pale ale on nitro, Cutthroat porter on nitro, Loose Leaf blonde ale, Celastrina saison, St. Lupulin pale ale firkin with passion fruit and oranges, Double Pilsner, Myrcenary double IPA, and others.
