SanTan Brewing has released the first photo of its new canned seasonal, a Belgian-style IPA called SuperMonk. Local craft beer fans may remember last year’s experimental prototype, which went by the name HopFarm.
The newcomer, which owner and brewmaster Anthony Canecchia calls a “more dialed-in” version of HopFarn, will debut in bars and stores Sept. 2 when the Chandler brewery bids farewell to its popular summer ale, Mr. Pineapple.
Canecchia describes SuperMonk as slightly hazy with notes of citrus, very drinkable, and light on the palate. It has an ABV for 6.5% and 70 IBUs.
