The twice-a-year Arizona Restaurant Week returns one month from today. As usual, East Valley restaurants mostly seem to be ignoring it.

Of the 36 participating restaurants listed (so far), only four are in the East Valley: Cork and Roy’s in Chandler, House of Tricks (pictured) in Tempe, and Melting Pot in Ahwatukee.

Roy’s and Melting Pot, of course, are national chains, not exactly in line with Restaurant Week’s goal “to position Arizona as one of the top culinary destinations in the nation.”

Participating restaurants offer prix-fixe dinners for either $30 or $40 per person. The promotion runs Sept. 21-29.
