Please welcome Max and Ted’s 480 Bar as MXSW’s newest sponsor. The Chandler neighborhood bar on Arizona Avenue just north of downtown Chandler got a new owner in April. Dottie and Roy Maxted, who launched the 480 Bar 17 years ago, sold their establishment to Ted Smith (pictured), hence the name “Max and Ted’s”
Smith has updated the interior and extended the bar’s hours until 2 a.m. He also has subscribed to the NFL Sunday Ticket TV package, and launched some football specials. They include a bucket of five domestic beers for $10 or five imports for $15, with an option to add an order of chicken wings for an additonal $5 or two orders for $10.
