NYPD Pizza is closing its south Tempe location on the northeast corner of Priest and Ray, effective Saturday.
To encourage customers to seek out the next closest NYPD location – about five miles away on Chandler Boulevard between Price and Dobson – NYPD will have all-day happy hour Saturday and Sunday at that Chandler location.
NYPD also has expanded the Chandler store’s delivery area to cover some of the closing Tempe store’s. All Tempe staffers were extended jobs at other locations.
CEOÂ Rich Stark says none of NYPD’s other 10 locations will be closed, and the chain plans to open new locations in 2014.
