Chicago fast-casual favorite Portillo’s announced its long-awaited first East Valley location will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Tempe Marketplace.
It will be the chain’s 38th location but just the second in Arizona. The first opened in Scottsdale earlier this year and drew nearly 10,000 customers its first day.
“Our Scottsdale opening was the largest in our company history,” says Dick Portillo, founder of The Portillo Restaurant Group.
Portillo’s menu features its signature Italian beef (pictured), Italian sausage, burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, specialty salads, shakes, and desserts.
The 8,219-square-foot Tempe restaurant will have seating for 236 people indoors and 80 outdoors.
Hours will be 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
