World of Beer, which just celebrated its one-year anniversary in Tempe, has something new on tap: Food. The Mill Avenue craft beer bar, which has 58 draft handles, debuted its new kitchen Monday.
The 20-item menu is compact, but doesn’t just phone it in. No chicken wings, no burgers, no fries.
The marquee item is Crispy Chicken and Belgian Waffles, chicken tenders nestled between powdered-sugar-dusted waffles ($8).
There are four sandwiches – a classic Reuben ($10), chipotle chicken ($9), grilled cheese ($7), and brat sliders ($8) – all served with chips.
The rest of the menu: three salads ($8-$9), three flatbread pizzas ($6), and a few small bites ranging from stout-battered onion rings ($6) to Southern-fried pickle chips ($6).
