Shrimp Giouvetsi on Fillo (shown on left) and Chicken Veneto (right) will be two of the five featured dishes at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner, which has a new day and time for this week only – 6 p.m. Saturday.
The dinners, usually hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, on Thursdays, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
“Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms covered in melted provolone. Served with yogurt dressing.
- Teriyaki Chicken Salad: Black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, avocado, feta, and lemon tossed together over romaine. Served with chicken sautéed in a gourmet teriyaki sauce.
- Shrimp Giouvetsi on Fillo: Bay shrimp sauteed with garlic, green onions, artichokes, tomatoes, herbs, and spices, baked on a fillo crust with feta and cream cheese.
- Chicken Veneto: Chicken breast, whole black peppercorns, capers, spring onion, mushrooms, and garlic in Marsala cream sauce.
- Chocolate Walnut Strudel: Flaky pastry and walnuts dipped in luscious chocolate.
