World of Beer has announced its upcoming Gilbert location will hold a pre-opening party at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. It will be giving out free WOB gear and VIP tickets to other pre-opening events.
An official opening date has not been announced, but the SanTan Village location already has scheduled one event : It will team up with Sierra Nevada in a Jan. 18 attempt to set the tap takeover world record.
The current record is 100 taps, set last month by East Lansing, Mich., bar HopCat and Short Brewing.
